Top 5 Fast Rising Yoruba Rappers.
Before Dagrin, there was hardly anything called “indigenous rap.” At least, in the mainstream. But, as Barrack O’ Grin stepped in, a new sound came in, too. Although, Lord Of Ajasa did Yoruba rap, before Dagrin, there’s no doubt that the latter made it “commercial.”
And, after him, everybody just wanted to rap in Yoruba. Olamide, Reminisce, VEC, Lil Kesh, and many more. But, as this nigg’s grow old, they shouldn’t think there are nobody to fill the gaps. Because, there are actually many many guys ready to take over.
Here is a list of five fast rising yoruba rapppers, that are getting all the buzz now…
1. Oladips
Before he got signed, Dips has been doing his thing underground and he’s built a cult-like fan base, in the West (Lagos) and beyond. But, in 2016, he was noticed by one of the hardest in the game, Reminisce. Alaga signed him to his label, LRR. And the story changed. With singles like “Bounce“, “Champagne“, “Lalakukulala” and “O’ Sure” feat. Olamide, he’s proved himself to be the Next in line.
2. Zlatan Ibile
Also one of the dopest Yoruba rappers, in town, Zlatan has gone beyond normal heights and has raised the bar higher than you think. He has songs with Olamide, Lil Kesh, Oritse Femi, Oladips and more. Songs like “My Body” and the recent “Jogor” are certified hits that shows that Zlatan ain’t a fluke!
3. TROD
That should be “The Return Of Dagrin”, by the way. A name like that should come with too much prowess, than normal.

Trod is the late Dagrin’s brother. Although that doern’t mean he will automatically be a dope rapper. But, yes of course, he is a dope rapper.. “Beware”, “Kini Level” and more.
4. DavoLee
Signed to YBNL, Davolee got signed after Olamide noticed his daily IG freestyles. That was it.
Getting signed, he dropped “Festival Bar”, a very dope jam. And singles like “Cirocing” and “Oya Gbeff” places him on top.
Although he hasn’t been really consistent, he’s still one that is promising.
5. Mode Real
Known for inspiring the ongoing Murk Reminisce competition, Mode Real had posted a Video of his cover to Reminisce’s Ajigijaga track. Alaga was impressed, and he reposted it.
He later deleted it, and started the contest, Mode Real being the number 1 contestant. People are saying he might sign the guy.
